AIMday Materials is an event focusing upon the companies' need for new knowledge and how to transform this knowledge into innovations in the fi eld of materials science. AIMday Materials is centered around workshops wherein a question or issue raised by the company is highlighted, and penetrated during one hour by scientists and experts from several different disciplines. Here, company representatives together with scientists from a selection of Europe's leading centres in materials science get a chance to meet in small groups to discuss specifi c issues, formulated by the companies. AIMday Materials is organized by Uppsala University, the Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Lund University, Dalarna University and Karlstad University, where materials research is a highly profi led research area rated world class.
