Workshop cases
Bone Marrow Workshop cases
Topics: Unusual acute leukemias and myelosarcomas & Early signs of transformation in MDS and MPD
Participation & Registration
The Workshop is open to pathologists, hemato-oncologists, biologists, and basic scientists with an interest in the pathology, biology, and clinical aspects of bone marrow studies. Participants are encouraged to submit cases related to the Workshop topics for discussion during the Workshop. However, only one case per participant will be accepted. The maximum number of cases accepted will be limited to 50. The registration fee will cover attendance at the Workshop sessions, syllabus with case protocols, lunch and coffee breaks.
Goals
The goal of the Workshop is to increase the knowledge in the field of acute leukemia/myelosarcoma by discussing unusual cases and to develop criteria for the recognition of early signs of transformation of myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disease to acute leukemia.
Deadline for case submission: Case submission is now closed.
Lymphoma Workshop cases
Topic: Early lesions in lymphoid neoplasia
Participation & Registration
The Workshop is open to pathologists, hemato-oncologists, biologists, and basic scientists with an interest in the pathology, biology, and clinical aspects of lymphoproliferative disorders. Participants are encouraged to submit cases for discussion during the Workshop. However, only one case per participant will be accepted. The maximum number of cases accepted will be limited to 100. The registration fee will cover attendance at the Workshop sessions, syllabus with case protocols, lunch and coffee breaks.
Goals and Case Priorities
The goal of the workshop is to develop critera for the recognition of early lesions in lymphoma development. The aim is to find ways to discriminate between rective lesions and lymphoproliferative disorders that will in the end develop into a malignant lymphoma. The workshop will try to improve the definition of these early lesions.
The workshop calls for cases that may help to illustrate the problem with early lesions and to advance our knowledge in these situations. Submitted cases may among others include early follicular lymphoma, ’in situ’ follicular lymphoma, early mantle cell lymphoma, large B-cell proliferations related to EBV infection, lesions with progressively transformed germinal centers, lymphomatoid granulomatosis, MGUS, lymphomatoid papulosis, early post-transplant lesions etc. Cases of monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis and early lesions in CLL may also be submitted.
Deadline for case submission: Case submission is now closed.
