Master Classes
Attendance by young European researchers will be promoted and supported. The following criteria have to be fulfilled for eligibility for a reduced registration fee:
The applicant must
- be younger than 35 years (passport copy required)
- be a scientist with university studies completed, active in research
- be a resident of an EGF member state (currently 30 countries, see www.europeangrassland.org)
- have submitted a contribution and had it accepted for oral or poster presentation at EGF 2008
- personally present the contribution at the conference (as a lecture or a poster)
- register for a Master Class and actively participate
- submit a short curriculum vitae, a personal list of publications and a copy of his/her passport together with their application to goran.dalin@adm.slu.se by 27 February 2008
- submit an abridged personal report by 31 July 2008
For applicants who fulfil these criteria, the registration fee for the EGF 2008 conference will be SEK 2 300 if they register on the registration form (on first come first served basis) and pay by 27 February at the latest. After 27 February the registration fee for young researchers will be SEK 2 800. The cost for the conference dinner on Wednesday 11 June will be an additional SEK 500. If the applicant does not meet these requirements for reduced registration fee, they will be contacted by Academic Conferences before the additional fee is charged.
Schedule
The Master Classes will be held on Sunday 8 June 2008 at the Hotel Uplandia, Uppsala. These Master Classes will comprise interactive sessions led by the persons listed below.
