Venue

All scientific sessions and the poster exhibition will take place at Ultuna Campus of SLU, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, 5 km south of central Uppsala.

Getting from the central station to the conference venue
Bus transfer will be available between the city hotels and the conference venue for those who have booked accommodation on the conference registration form.

If you have made your own hotel reservation you can easily get to and from Ultuna Campus by local bus number 3 and 20. They run daily from early morning to late nights. You can pay by cash on the bus. A single ticket costs SEK 30.You can also buy a discount card at "Upplysningen" and at "Pressbyrån" in the city centre. Then a one way trip will cost SEK 20. You can also buy tickets in machines at the Central station and "Stora Torget", the big square in the city centre.

Travel to Uppsala

Uppsala is located 40 minutes from Stockholm. Uppsala can easily be reached from the four airports in the area.

Below we explain how to reach Uppsala from the four different airports. The organisers cannot take responsibility for late changes in the schedule or price. For updates, please check the airport websites.

Upon arrival into Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm • website

Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport is located between Uppsala and Stockholm, 36 km south of Uppsala.

Bus 801 runs between Arlanda and Uppsala city 2 times/hour from about 4 am until midnight. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs SEK 90 (approx. EUR 10). You buy your ticket from the driver (cash, SEK = Swedish Krona only).

Trains leave Arlanda for Uppsala Central Station directly from Sky City.
• Frequency: please consult the timetables online www.resplus.se.
• Journey time: 15–20 minutes.
• Cost: SEK 95–130 (approx. EUR 13) if purchased in advance. Tickets can be bought from the conductor on board to an additional fee.
• Ticket Desk: SJ Resebutik/Travel Office, in Sky City (next to Terminal 5).

Taxis leave from outside the arrival hall.
• Journey time: about 30 minutes
• Cost: about SEK 415 (approx. EUR 45). Ask the driver for a fixed price (“fast pris”) in advance. You can pay by credit card or by cash.
• You can make a reservation in advance at Uppsala Taxi: +46 18 100 000. The cost will be the same but a driver will be waiting for you in the arrival hall.

Upon arrival into Stockholm-Bromma Airport, Stockholm • website

Stockholm-Bromma airport is located 9 km west of Stockholm Central Station and 70 km south of Uppsala. The airport bus runs between Bromma airport and Stockholm city bus terminal, next to the central station.

Frequency: the timetable runs to connect with flight arrivals and departures.

• Cost: single ticket: SEK 60 (approx. EUR 7) or return ticket: SEK 100(approx. EUR 11).
• Journey time to Stockholm: 15 minutes (depending on traffic). Ticket Desk: in airport arrivals hall.

From Stockholm Central Station to Uppsala Central Station:
• Frequency: 2 trains per hour from 6 am to 11 pm.
• Journey time: 40 minutes.
• Cost: about SEK 60 (approx. EUR 7).
• Ticket Desk: you buy your ticket from a ticket desk in the main hall of the station or from a ticket-vending machine at the platform.

Upon arrival into Stockholm-Skavsta Airport, city of Nyköping • website

Stockholm-Skavsta airport is located 110 km south of Stockholm Central Station and 177 km south of Uppsala.

Flight shuttle buses run between Skavsta Airport and Stockholm Central Station.

• Frequency: about 30 minutes after every flight arrival. The bus waits for delayed flights. Timetable online: www.flygbussarna.com.
• Journey time to Stockholm: about 80 minutes.
• Cost: SEK 130 (approx. EUR 14) single ticket, SEK 199 (approx. EUR 21) round trip.
• Ticket Desk: you buy your ticket from the ticket desk in the main hall of the airport.

From Stockholm Central Station to Uppsala Central Station.
• Frequency: 2 trains per hour from 6 am to 11 pm.
• Journey time: 40 minutes. Cost: about SEK 60 (approx EUR 7).
• Ticket Desk: you buy your ticket from a ticket desk in the main hall of the station or from a ticket-vending machine at the platform.

Upon arrival into Stockholm-Västerås Airport, city of Västerås • website

Västerås airport is located 77 km west of Uppsala

Bus:
• Frequency: The timetable is adjusted to Ryanair's arrivals and departures at Västerås Airport.
• Journey time: 90 minutes.
• Cost: One way SEK 130 (EUR 13), Return SEK 200 (EUR 20)
