Welcome to ICPD 2013 in Uppsala, Sweden!

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to announce the 15th International Conference on Production Diseases in farm animals (ICPD), which will take place at the Campus Ultuna of SLU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, June 24-28, 2013.

The objective of the ICPD is to advance the study and understanding of health and disease in animals managed for food production.  It has its roots in the study of metabolic diseases, but has taken a broader scope to include also many other factors affecting the health and welfare of farm animals. Disciplines represented at the ICPD include animal science, veterinary medicine, epidemiology, nutrition, genetics, physiology, immunology, biochemistry, endocrinology, and ethology, among others.  The meeting offers a very collegial atmosphere and the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with researchers and specialists from all over the world.
